Abstract
Farabi is one of the great Islamic philosophers who pays significant attention to moral and economic issues. He divides Madinahs into two main categories: Utopia and Dystopia. After mentioning the types of virtues and vices, he states that a person should try to adorn himself with virtues and avoid bad qualities. Virtues are divided into four main categories, of which moral virtues and practical virtues, which is the creation of partial virtues in nations and guilds, are part of them. He also wrote about economic and livelihood topics and invites people to asceticism and piety on one hand and on the other hand, he says that one should exaggerate in acquiring dignity and wealth. We will see in this research that these two opinions do not contradict each other. Rather, at the peak of harmony, they show the direct relationship between the category of economy and the category of ethics.
