Abstract
In the philosophy of illumination, self-awareness is proposed as the beginning of knowing oneself as light and moving from it to know other lights. Suhravardi considers human self-perception to be a presence perception and considers the self to be its own evidence, which does not need any form for this self-perception; Because whatever form of this ego is in the mind, it is still not the ego and is something other than the ego. Therefore, it can be concluded that in Suhravardi's view, self-perception precedes any other perception. This discussion in Kant's philosophy also forms a part of his discussions. By dividing the self into the empirical self and the transcendental self, Kant makes a difference between the perception of these two things in humans. According to Kant, what man remembers and knows every day with the concept of self is the empirical self, which is obtained later from the empirical perception for the mind, but the transcendental self, which is beyond experience, is theoretically unknowable, and therefore Kant defines self-awareness as perception. Post-empirical and late knows about it.In this research, an attempt has been made to make a comparative comparison between Sohrvardi's and Kant's views on the issue of self-awareness.
